Charleston/Mt. Pleasant, SC (2026 March 11) -Behind every successful regatta is an incredible team of volunteers—and Charleston Race Week at Patriot’s Point is no exception. Each year, this world-class sailing event welcomes as many as 2,000 sailors, and it takes a dedicated network of volunteers both on the water and ashore to help make the event run smoothly.
If you’re not sailing this year but still want to be part of the action, volunteering is a rewarding way to get involved and support one of the premier sailing events in the country!
Shoreside volunteers play an essential role throughout the event. From assisting with registration and check-in, helping as information guides and greeters, supporting entrance gates, punching passes, distributing race committee lunches, and assisting with daily operations, every role helps keep the regatta running efficiently while creating a welcoming experience for competitors and guests alike.
Charleston Race Week offers a wide range of volunteer opportunities, making it easy to find a role that fits your interests and availability. Whether you have sailing experience or simply want to help be part of a major sporting event, every volunteer makes a difference.
If you’re interested in getting involved, we encourage you to visit this volunteer signup link on our website, where you’ll find a complete list of available positions and details on how to participate.
Join us shoreside and help make Charleston Race Week at Patriot’s Point another unforgettable event.
