1. MISSION STATEMENT
CRW Events is a charitable non-profit organization dedicated to promoting amateur athletic sailing for the public benefit. Our mission is to foster strong connections with the next generation of sailors—including college students, beginners of all ages, and passionate community members—by creating opportunities to engage with the sport through access, education, and competition.
We produce one of the largest sailboat racing events in the United States, a four-day regatta that attracts international talent and energizes the local economy. This event would not be possible without the support of our volunteers, sponsors, and the hospitality-driven grants provided by the host town, whose leadership and community play an essential role in its success.
Rooted in integrity, creativity, and a deep respect for sailing culture, CRW Events is committed to expanding access to the sport. We support initiatives such as waiving entry fees, donating event passes to sailors at the College of Charleston, and envisioning long-term investments in community sailing infrastructure to ensure sailing remains inclusive, educational, and thriving for generations to come.
