The Early Entry Deadline—and your chance to secure a discounted registration fee is coming up on January 31, 2026. So while you enjoy the holidays, take the time to get your team signed up as soon as possible. The very first Notice of Race Amendment (No. 1) has been issued, which includes the newly expanded ORC Sportboat parameters for the 2026 ORC Sportboat North American Championship. And finally, event logistics are already taking shape, with details on launching, hauling, and on-site operations to be released soon.

ORC Sportboat Class Expanded for Race Week 2026

Charleston Race Week at Patriot’s Point has issued Notice of Race Amendment No. 1, which includes a significant update for the 2026 ORC Sportboat North American Championship: an official expansion of the ORC Sportboat Class parameters. This adjustment broadens the range of eligible designs for next April’s 30th anniversary edition of Race Week and reflects ongoing collaboration with the Offshore Racing Congress (ORC) to ensure strong, competitive racing in this rapidly growing fleet. >>>

Logistics are always a major part of preparing for any regatta—most especially Charleston Race Week at Patriot’s Point. Our team is already hard at work finalizing this year’s launch and haul plan. Many of the successful processes and support systems from last year will return, and our ORC competitors in particular will find them extremely helpful. We’ll be sharing full details soon; in the meantime, stay tuned and be sure to get your team registered.
